Esther the Mushroom Cottage Incense Burner
Esther can bring you a big dose of cosy cuteness with her smoking chimney!
This one off was made with a lot of love, care and attention to detail. Featuring an aged stone door arch, hanging silver key and classic red spotty pattern on the mushroom cap. There is a white base plate with a small central bowl which can hold your incense cone to create the ambient smoking chimney.
Esther is thrown from a brown spotted clay which I have left raw and unglazed to allow the surface texture of the clay to become part of the aesthetic of the piece.
Wheel thrown using a spotted sandy clay
Hand built details are added onto the thrown form
Carefully decorated with colourful painted underglazes
Left unglazed and with a matte finish
